The pressure from the Robotics regionals competition will start to negatively affect Mariana in the upcoming episode of Freeform's family drama "The Fosters" season 4.

To recap, last week's episode saw Jesus admitted to a hospital when he accidentally shot himself with a nail gun. As it turned out, he was covering for his biological father Gabriel who was supposed to do a job in their garage. In her search for justice, Callie got a bit confrontational which could possibly lead to legal consequences if she doesn't get a hold of herself. Mariana and Jude turned to drugs as an escape from their problems while Brandon was hesitant to try his luck in Julliard because of his age.

In the next episode titled "Girl Code," some of the kids will attempt to reach their goals while juggling with personal issues. According to the official synopsis, Lena becomes worried when she notices how competitive Mariana slowly becomes. During the First Robotics Southern California Regionals, Mariana and Jesus will compete against each other for the first prize. However, Lena gets alarmed when Mariana appears to be dealing with so much stress. Meanwhile, the police intervene and warn Callie to stop harassing Patrick Molloy. Brandon will try to chase his true passion when he begins preparing for his fast-approaching Julliard audition.

In the promo trailer for episode 8, Mariana appears to be on edge as the pressure continues to make her crack. Lena expresses concern but Mariana snaps at her foster mother and says, "Either leave or leave me alone!" The next scene cuts to the police paying a visit to the family's home to warn Callie about her secretly snooping around Patrick Molloy's property.

Stay tuned for all-new episodes of "The Fosters" season 4 which airs every Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Freeform.
