'The Fosters' season 4 episode 3 spoilers news: Callie gets suspended, Mariana takes heat for Nick's misconduct

Callie's response to a derogatory comment gets her in trouble while Mariana takes the blame for Nick's actions in the upcoming episode of "The Fosters" season 4.

According to the official synopsis for next week's episode titled "Trust," the Foster family members will have to face new complications which will test their characters. Following the dramatic school lockdown, Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) will have a difficult time when other students begin blaming her for what Nick (Louis Hunter) did. Callie (Maia Mitchell) is also receiving derogatory comments in school, and her reaction to the bullies will get her suspended. What seems like a punishment turns out to be an adventure when she meets Aaron, a dashing young man studying law who has no idea of her past. Meanwhile, Taylor (Izabela Vidovic) invites Jude (Hayden Byerly) to come to her church youth group, but he takes it the wrong way and begins doubting her intention.

The first moments of the promo trailer show police officers arresting Nick after bringing a gun to the school. Partners Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) have a serious talk with Callie to discuss her relationship with her foster brother Brandon (David Lambert). It seems that Callie does not like where the conversation is heading, so she arrogantly asks her foster parents if they plan to undo her adoption. Brandon is still living in his new girlfriend's place, and he makes it clear to Callie that he does not want to go back home. Lena opens up to Stef about the possibility of losing her job while Mariana speaks to Nick about his misconduct. Mariana makes an effort to reach out to him to settle their issues and to eventually end their relationship once and for all.
