The Season 2 finale of CW's "The Flash" has provided hints that the original "Flashpoint Paradox" storyline of the original DC comic book will be featured next season. It was revealed that Barry Allen, also known as the speedster hero The Flash, used his newfound powers to travel back in time. However, he attempted to alter a huge portion of the past by saving his mother from being killed by Season 1's villain, Reverse Flash. Little does he know that by altering the past, he will create a new and convoluted version of the present.

Fans of the hit DC superhero TV series were hyped by the confirmation that CW is planning to introduce the "Flashpoint Paradox." It is considered to be one of the most intriguing "The Flash" comic book stories in the past. and it will be interesting to see the new twists to be applied in the story to adapt the show's modern theme. Also, having the "Flashpoint" in the series would mean that everything that happened in the first and second seasons will be non-existent. Season 3 will start from scratch and begin a new story.

E! News reported that by saving Barry's mother from being killed in the past, there will be unforeseen consequences in the present timeline. One of the ripple effects of Barry's action will be his new memories. He will still have the memories of the original timeline that he knew, but he will also be aware of the new memories from the newly-created alternate present. This means that Barry will still remember the feeling of not growing up without both of his parents, but the new present will make him remember the new events in life, like celebrating his college graduation with his mother and father beside him. The viewers will get to know these new events in the "Flashpoint" timeline that never existed in the original stories of Seasons 1 and 2.

Meanwhile, the online publication reported that the "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton will play the character of Julian Dorn, a CSI agent at the Central City Police Department. According to the reports, Felton's character will grow suspicious of Barry's real intentions. The actor became popular when he played Draco Malfoy in the "Harry Potter" film series.
