'The Flash' season 3 spoilers: Rick Cosnett hints Eddie Thawne's possible return; Who could the new Harrison Wells be?

Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) might be coming back to "The Flash" sooner than expected.
Eddie's story arc has been the subject of speculations over the course of the show's run. Many viewers predicted that he would eventually go on to turn into the Reverse Flash, only for the said character to sacrifice his own life to stop his future descendant and real Reverse Flash, Eobard Thawne. Eddie's lifeless body was sucked into a hole in time, fuelling speculations that he somehow survived to become the season 2 villain, Zoom. Unfortunately, that was also debunked, and Eddie still remains dead in the story,
In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Cosnett teased the possible return of his character, and it seems that his arrival will be sooner than fans initially expected. "Definitely...definitely," he said when asked about Eddie's return. "I can't say exactly where, but there is definitely a big chance that I could be in this new timeline, you'll have to wait and see."
On another note, the series will introduce yet another new version of Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Harry of Earth-2 decided to just stay home and fix the damage caused by the villainous Zoom last season, leading Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) to find a replacement for him.
The previous episode titled "The New Rogues" featured quite a few Harrisons from various Earths. Harrison from season 1 turned out to be a clever misdirect, while season 2's Harrison ended up being just Earth-2's Harrison Wells. In a report by TV Guide, several fan theories reveal who or what the new Harrison Wells will turn out to be. Some speculations point to the character being Earth-19's greatest inventor since in the comics, Earth-19 is a modern world with electricity as the main factor in that world's industrial revolution. There are also predictions that he is Abra Kadabra, a magic-based silli Flash villain, while other fan theories note that he could just be a thinly-veiled H.G. Wells.
Keep tuning in to "The Flash" season 3 airing every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
