'The Flash' season 3 spoilers, plot news: 'Harry Potter' star Tom Felton inks deal as new series regular, Barry and Iris to hit another wall in their relationship?
"The Flash" returns this Fall for its third season, and nothing will ever be the same since viewers will see the much-hyped Flashpoint plot drawn from the original comic book series. Aside from a new storyline, the show will also introduce a new character to be portrayed by "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton.
Felton joined the cast as a series regular, which means that he will have a huge role all throughout season 3. His character is named Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI at the Central City Police Department who believes that there is more to Barry than meets the eye. Felton is popularly known for his villainous character in the "Harry Potter" franchise, but it remains to be seen if Julian will be a friend or foe to Barry and the rest of the STAR Labs team. Fans also speculate that Julian might just be a cover for another DC character.
Flashpoint will open a lot of possible story arcs for next season, including the arrival of Justice League members. A lot of characters from the famed superhero team will make the series more interesting, but viewers may be wondering what's in store for Iris and Barry if he will go back in time. The season 2 finale saw the much-awaited kiss for WestAllen fans, as Iris confessed her true feelings for Barry. The romantic scene seemed to give an idea that their relationship will further progress in season 3, but Barry's actions changed everything.
In an interview, actress Candice Patton shared some ideas she came up with for her role, saying: "I would love to see Iris do what she does best in helping Team Flash, which is working at her job at Picture News, working on stories and using her investigative skills to help out the S.T.A.R. Labs team It's such a huge part of the comics that we haven't really touched on yet, this reporter dynamic that's kind of the Superman-Lois Lane thing. It's such a cool aspect that I'd love to see more of."
