'The Flash' Season 3 spoilers news: To introduce 'Flashpoint Paradox' storyline from the comics?

The finale episode of "The Flash" Season 2 has left a lot of viewers on the edge of their seats with the shocking twists and turns. However, the final moments of the second season may have a lot of repercussions in the future that will surely change the series and shape up another chapter. Moreover, one of the expected changes in the series for Season 3 will be the introduction of a storyline fresh from the original "The Flash" comic book.
As the fans are curious as early as now with the upcoming season of "The Flash," actor Carlos Valdes had a few revelations regarding the future of the series in front of the panel at MegaCon. Valdes stated that the viewers can expect a "different" Season 3.
"All I'm going to tell you is things are going to be different, way different... Not in a bad way, I think in a really exciting way, and it's that difference that's going to inform Barry's trajectory throughout the season, and I think people are going to like it," Valdes said as quoted by Screen Rant.
Valdes may be pertaining to a scenario where Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) decisions have resulted in a big change in his timeline. Specifically, the Flashpoint miniseries written by Geoff Johns has Barry going back in time where he unknowingly changed a lot of things in the past, resulting to a very different timeline at the present. Moreover, the new alternate timeline will see Barry not having his speed force while the rest of the world is "filled with dark, twisted versions of the heroes and villains he knows." While the future plot of the series is still not certain, Valdes revealed that it is very possible for the "Flashpoint" story to be included in Season 3.
Barry's decision to go back in time will lead to an alternate timeline, similar to the Flashpoint miniseries written by Geoff Johns. Thus, predicting what happens next is difficult. On the other hand, The Flash himself gave an assurance to the fans that Barry Allen will be keeping the same positive attitude in spite of all the bad things that happened in Season 2. Speaking at the red carpet of CW Upfronts, the actor said that his character will remain optimistic although he will be quite "adamant" following the tragic events of the recently concluded season.
"Whole perspective on life is to constantly move forward with his life, and let his past be a part of it, but stay optimistic and kind of live your life," Gustin said via Comic Book.
