The CW's hit superhero drama "The Flash" is just a few weeks from its premiere, and a new extended trailer for its much-hyped third season has been recently released.

Titled "Run devil Run," the latest clip delves a bit deeper into everything that has changed since Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) set off the Flashpoint storyline. Based on the video, the upcoming season promises to showcase a Flash/Flash Kid team-up. Moreover, it also seems Barry will have to once again make an impossible choice: embrace the life he created for himself and give up his powers as the scarlet speedster, or come back to his original timeline as a superhero saving lives every day.

"The Flash" may feature huge changes in season 3 through the Flashpoint alternate timeline, but if one thing remains the same, it would be Barry and Iris' love for each other. Star Candice Patton, who plays the role of Iris in the program, recently caught up with TV Line and she teased romantic moments between the pair are in store for fans.

"You'll get to see Barry try and woo her in Flashpoint," she said. "It's really, really sweet. It reminds me of the pilot." Back in 2015, there were talks of Iris possibly having a little more agency in her life as the show moves forward. Although more layers of her character were seen in the past season, Patton still hopes to see more in the third installment.

"I think she's had it, especially in Season 2. She's joined the S.T.A.R. Labs team. She's helping solve metahuman crimes in Central City with the rest of the team," the actress added. "...There's definitely more of that this season, and I'm always advocating for her to be at Picture News and be the reporter. I think that's slow going, but I'm hoping for more of that, for sure."

The third season of "The Flash" premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
