'The Flash' season 3 spoilers: Barry becomes powerless in new season as series follows comic book's 'Flashpoint Paradox' storyline?

The season 2 finale of the highly charged The CW series shown a few weeks ago left fans wondering whether "The Flash" season 3 would adopt the "Flashpoint Paradox" storyline, which comic book readers are familiar with.
According to Game n Guide, there is a strong possibility that "The Flash" season 3 would follow the "Flashpoint Paradox" storyline. If that happens, viewers might bear witness to a powerless Barry.
In the comic book, which was written by Geoff Johns and released in 2011, a powerless Barry was trapped between a fighting Aquaman and Wonder Woman. Powerless as he was, Barry would try to stop the chaos while trying to save his mother. However, by doing so, Barry erased everything that happened in seasons 1 and 2 of "The Flash."
Apparently, season 3 would also see Barry battling it out with Zoom (Teddy Sears) to find out who is faster between them.
Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco/Vibe in the series, seemed to confirm the "Flashpoint Paradox" storyline during the MegaCon panel he was part of.
"I think there's every chance of a Flashpoint paradox. Some people expressed reservation about that – why are we going there – but then some people were all about it," the actor said.
He also said that following the comic book's plot was a good way of paying homage to the original story. He asked that viewers and fans of the show trust the direction that season 3 is going because the cast and crew are doing everything to give them the best this coming season.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old Valdes was mum on rumors that his character would embrace a metahuman persona. According to Comicbook.com, Valdes would rather focus on the angle that Cisco is a bonafide scientist with more interesting elements in him that simply being Vibe.
"The Flash" season 3 doesn't have an official airdate yet, but reports are rife that it would start airing sometime within the fourth quarter of 2016.
