Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) calls on her mother for help with her growing meta powers in the upcoming episode of The CW's hit superhero series "The Flash" season 3.
Titled "Monster," next week's episode will explore Caitlin's relationship with her mother. According to the official synopsis for episode 5, Caitlin is desperate to know what is happening to her, so she pays a visit to her mother, Dr. Tannhauser (guest star Susan Walters). Caitlin grows cold and brings up past wounds, leading the two characters to clash and have a major blowout. Meanwhile in Central City, the new mysterious meta--human attacks push Barry to try to help as an ordinary citizen. he attempts to convince Julian (Tom Felton) to let him assist on the case.
Panabaker recently attended the100th episode celebration for "Arrow," and during an interview, she shared her thoughts on Caitlin's current relationship status. After losing a loved one and failed relationships, the actress says she hopes to see her character focus on other things aside from having a relationship again.
"I'm excited for her to not be with someone this year," Panabaker told Comic Book, adding, "It's not realistic but I'd love Robbie playing Ronnie to come back. That's my dream: they're fire and ice; they're meant to be together."
Panabaker has appeared as Caitlin in other superhero shows from The CW, including "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow." Now that she is developing powers of her own, the actress hopes to have more action scenes. "I'm always rooting for more action," she continued. "I think that's one of the things they do such an incredible job with on Arrow is their action. They're so inspiring and I think they do a great job and I'm always excited to see what I can do next."
Keep tuning in to the second season of "The Flash" airing every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
