'The Flash' season 2 spoilers, plot news: Will Caitlin Snow survive? Tom Cavanagh hints a possible death in the finale

"The Flash" season 2 is only a few weeks away from its final episode, and a happy ending is definitely far from happening.
Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells) appeared in this week's episode of DC All Access, and he teased about what's in store for fans in the concluding episode. "Crazy stuff happens," he said. "Are you kidding me? Here's what we do at DC. We don't be like, well we did that well, let's just repeat that. We don't do that. We don't go like, ah, they've had enough thrills, we don't do that either. Should we have someone die perhaps? I don't know, maybe." Will a beloved character be killed off? Since the goal of the show is to be unpredictable, it could be anyone. There are speculations that it might be Caitlin Snow, after Teddy Sears' sinister hint in a previous interview about what Zoom will do to her. Sears made it clear that Caitlin tricking Zoom into releasing her is far from happening. "No, that doesn't happen, which is actually kind of refreshing," he said. Zoom is described as "off" and not a "linear, level-headed guy," and Sears admitted that "he eventually makes a decision which gets us to where we go next."
As noted in the official synopsis for next week's episode titled "The Runaway Dinosaur" will feature how the team will work while Barry (Grant Gustin) is gone. Without him, they are compelled to plan how they will deal with an old enemy — Girder (guest star Greg Finley). Once they figure out that Girder is just redoing the steps he did in his previous attack, Iris (Candice Patton) volunteers to be a bait so they can capture him in the S.T.A.R. Labs. On the other hand, Barry tries to bring his old life back.
Stay tuned for the last remaining episodes of "The Flash" which airs Tuesdays, 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
