'The Flash' Season 2 spoilers, news: Earth-2 version of Barry Allen's father to appear in Episode 22?

It has been a while since the father of Barry Allen/The Flash (played by Grant Gustin) was seen in an episode of CW's "The Flash." However, those who are waiting for Henry Allen's return in the series will have to catch Episode 22 of Season 2 as John Wesley Shipp's character is expected to appear once again. The Henry the viewers are going to see in the upcoming episode may not be the same person that they used to see in the past installments.
The previous episode with Henry had revealed that Barry's father has been out of jail for some time and is now roaming around the world freely. It can be remembered that Henry was accused of killing his own wife, Nora, after the latter was killed by Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash, the main villain of Season 1. He was placed behind bars for almost a decade due to lack of evidence proving his innocence.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "The Flash" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed the reasons why they decided to make Henry a free man in the second season.
"Freeing Henry gave us part of the Harrison Wells story for the beginning of the year, which is that even though he's been erased from existence and couldn't be more dead, he still got the last laugh," Kreisberg stated.
While speaking in front of the people for the press screening of "The Flash" and "Supergirl" crossover episode, Kreisberg confirmed that Henry will appear in Episode 22 of "The Flash." However, this "Henry" is going to be Henry's counterpart in Earth-2.
"We have a really exciting, fun doppelganger coming up in the penultimate episode of 'The Flash' that we haven't announced yet that's another instance of. That'll be really cool,'" Kreisberg said. A report from TV Line confirms the reported return of Barry's father in Central City before the hit DC superhero TV series concludes its second chapter.
The remaining episodes of "The Flash" is expected to deal with the villainous Zoom who is threatening the balance of both Earth-1 and Earth-2. As reported in Yibada, Zoom was revealed to be the evil counterpart of Jay Garrick (played by Teddy Sears) in Earth-2 with the complete name "Hunter Zolomon," and his superpowers came from an electrocution incident that left him virtually dead.
