"Honestly, the two things I'm probably most proud of this season are [the introduction/development of] Harry and the identity of the Man in the Iron Mask," showrunner Andrew Kreisberg told TVLine at a press event. He further hinted that once the mystery man's identity is revealed, it will definitely "blow your mind."

There had been speculations that the actor behind the mask has not been wearing it the whole time, which means that viewers might have already seen the character. Teddy Sears plays the role of Zoom/Hunter Solomon who is the mystery prisoner's captor, and he mentioned that the reveal will satisfy fans. "We do see him throughout [Season 2's final episodes], but I didn't know who he was until [filming] this finale episode," Sears explained. "I had no clue before.... But the identity will be revealed and I think it's going to be very satisfying for the viewers."

As of now, all viewers can do is speculate since there are a lot of probable guesses. In next week's episode titled "Rupture," the Scarlet Speedster tries to carry out a plan but it might cost his life. According to the show's official synopsis, Zoom (guest star Teddy Sears) returns to Earth-1 as he plans to take over Central City. To put a stop to his evil deeds, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Wells (Tom Cavanagh) devise a plan but they will take a big risk, since it wouldn't an easy feat. Barry turns to his father for advice because he remains unsure of the danger he will face. Henry (guest star John Wesley Shipps) doesn't want Barry to put his life on the line once again but Joe (Jesse L. Martin) remains confident in his capability.

Additionally, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is surprised when he vibes Rupture, an Earth-2 villain. Rupture happens to be Dante's (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez) doppelganger, and he went to Earth-1 to avenge Reverb's death. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) finally admits her true feelings for Barry.

Stay tuned for the last few episodes of "The Flash" which airs Tuesday nights on The CW.
