The countdown to the anticipated breath-taking finale of "The Flash" Season 2 has already begun, and while the fans are still worrying about their favorite meta-human heroes, the director of "The Flash" series himself has spoken about the things that viewers should expect in the finale and in the future of the show.

Director Kevin Smith recently had a podcast Fatman On Batman (via Yibada) where he entertained some interviewers from the participants. During the live interview, Smith revealed that he is already aware of all the details involving the last two episodes of "The Flash" Season 2. He teased that the viewers have something to worry about the characters, particularly the character of Teddy Sears. The actor plays Jay Garrick, the alternate Flash of Earth 2 and the alter-ego of the de facto antagonist of Season 2, Hunter Zolomon/Zoom.

"They got me the breakdown of what the last two episodes are, and there was something that happened in the episode after mine - and it includes you (Teddy Sears) in a big, bad way," Smith said.

The director might have hinted of Jay Garrick's harrowing fate towards the end of the season. However, Smith did not reveal whether the villain will still be around in the third season to antagonize Team Flash.

To recall, Zoom was finally unmasked as Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) friend and mentor, Jay Garrick. At first, he pretended that Zoom and Garrick are different persons. To further establish his lies, Zoom killed a "time remnant" of his own self in a different timeline when he was still the morally upright Flash of Earth 2. It was also revealed that Zoom wanted to take all of Barry's speed force to become the fastest being alive in both Earth 1 and Earth 2.

Meanwhile, Smith promised to the fans that the Season 2 finale will be very intense, and the finale itself would be worth a few episodes.

"Last season, they ended on that huge high note where Jay Garrick's hat comes through at the end... It felt like that season finale was huge. It feels like the last three episodes of this season 2, and I'm not throwing mine in for the ego or anything like that, but the storyline that happens in that episode, the Barry stuff, is really crucial to the last two episodes so it feels like a triumvirate of episodes. It ends insanely, insanely strong," he said.
