'The Fall' Season 2 Spoilers: The Hunter And The Hunted Are Back

Police detective Stella Gibson (played by Gillian Anderson) and serial killer Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan) are back in Season 2 of "The Fall" which has just premiered on BBC.

Continuing shortly after the ending of the first season, the premiere saw Spector alone in Scotland. He then travels to Belfast and enters the home of his ex-girlfriend, presumably killing her.

Meanwhile Gibson has problems of her own, most of which surround her attempts to find the identity of the serial killer. She first goes to Anne's house and tries to convince her to remember what happened when Spector tried to kill her.

As for Spector, he leaves Scotland and travels to Belfast where he meets his daughter's babysitter Katie (Aisling Franciosi) who outright tells him that he is probably a murderer. The Telegraph notes that this seems to stoke his ego, after which it is not seen if he kills her or not.

However, it is later seen that the real purpose of his visit was to kill his ex-girlfriend who is about to testify that she knows someone who fits the description of the serial killer.

"The Fall" was very well received in the UK when it first aired 18 months ago. Dornan has since then gone on to star in the much hyped "Fifty Shades of Grey" as Christian Grey. Returning to "The Fall" has meant that Dornan is now bringing some star power to the role or Spector.

Anderson has also been getting good reviews. The Guardian notes that hers is "a sublime performance, one of the things that makes The Fall interesting."

As for the rest of the season, Unreality TV reports that Spector could be killed, as Dornan has stated that while the show might get a third season, he might not appear for "story reasons."
