The Fall Season 2 Spoilers News, Plot Rumors: 4th Episode Brings More Creepy Situations

"The Fall," in its fourth episode, has regained much of its credibility as a police procedural. The series also saw more creepiness from Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan) as he coached Katie (Aisling Franciosi) in the fine art of becoming an apprentice to a serial killer.
However, the episode did not have as much drama as the previous one which saw Spector sneaking into the room of Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) and writing in her personal diary. Instead, the episode opened with the aftermath of that particular event, with Stella's diary being bagged as evidence. After viewing the surveillance video on Stella's room, she and Jim Burns (John Lynch) realized that Spector had overhead their conversation about the case and Jim's ill-fated pass at Stella.
After that incident, the episode descended into a game of catch-up as the police realized that Spector was actually Annie's bereavement counsellor. This prompted them to rush to prevent him from meeting her. However, this incident made Spector suspect that the cops were on his tail.
Finally, the police left the biggest clue to their presence inside Spector's house when they fell through a weak portion of the loft while trying to install hidden cameras. Even though they managed to cover it up by overturning a boiler, they left a muddy footprint which Spector later discovered.
However, Spector was undeterred when it came to his focus on Katie as he met her over Skype and talked her into doing an acid attack on her friend, telling her how to "embrace her anger and get pleasure from other people's pain."
The upcoming episodes could see the continuation of the cat-and-mouse game between the police and Spector.
But time is quickly running out for Rose (Valene Kane). If the police suspect that Rose was already dead, they could arrest Spector immediately and not wait for him anymore to lead them to Rose.
While this is a definite possibility, some are noting that Spector and Stella will come face to face before Rose is found, and the end might not be good for one or both of them.
