Several fans of "The Elder Scrolls" franchise have been waiting for quite some time to see the much awaited sixth installment of the series. The last game title "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," was well-received by the general gamers and critics alike, so there is a pressure on Bethesda to match or even surpass the feat of "Skyrim." While there is no official announcement yet regarding the development or release of "The Elder Scrolls VI," it is now rumored to boast new gameplay features to make the game much more interesting than the previous titles.

Some "TES" gamers have noted the traditional companion system in the game that will make it easier for the players to complete their tasks, or to gain more items and experience for their characters. However, this companion system might be getting too repetitive and less interesting as each game title goes by, Game N Guide mentioned. There could be something to be changed or improved by Bethesda in this kind of gameplay. It is possible that the game studio will change the lone companion gameplay into more of a multi-party system, where a player can have a number of AI-controlled allies to form a stronger group, Gaming Bolt suggested.

A multiple companion system can be helpful in collecting more loot, instead of having a player companion to have an overburdened inventory. As reported by the Game Spot, Bethesda is planning to provide better quality and more loot items in the next "TES" game title, so a multi-party companion gameplay might be something to consider.

"The Elder Scrolls VI" is expected to be released just after the launching of the enhanced versions of today's top home consoles, the PlayStation 4 Pro and the Xbox Project Scorpio. There is a possibility that the game will be portable to these upcoming consoles, boasting impressive graphics feature. A virtual reality (VR) support in the next "Elder Scrolls" game is also one of the possibilities.

Bethesda may not be able to start developing "The Elder Scrolls VI" just yet. Digital Spy reported that the game studio might start working on the game by 2018, with a possible 2019 target release date.
