"The Blacklist" season 4 spoilers seem to point to an exciting premiere episode that would finally reveal what happens to Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen), Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader), and Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone).

Fans were shocked when the season 3 finale found one of the series' lead characters being offed. However, Liz merely faked her death, and whether it was so she could change her identity is up for debate. At any rate, Inquisitr reported that season 4's arc could include the real identity of Liz's father.

It would be recalled that Alexander tracked Liz down to her hideout in Ecuador, and while there, he revealed that he was Liz's real father. Fans who were presuming all along that Red is her real father were shocked with this revelation.

Nevertheless, episodes for the upcoming season promises to answer questions that viewers have, most of which zero in on the relationship between Alexander, Liz whose real name is Masha Rostova, and her mother, Katerina Rostova.

It also remains to be seen if Red would play into the intriguing conflict, considering he enjoyed a close relationship with Katerina when she was still a Russian spy in the United States. If that angle proves to be substantial, then Red could also be Masha's biological father.

As Deadline pointed out, Red and Katerina's affair could have bore fruit, Liz, and Alexander is merely claiming to be Liz's biological father as a form of revenge on Red. This could explain why Red has always been fond of Liz.

"He doesn't really lie to her, but he's also not always giving her all the information. For reasons that are very important to both of them, he is protective of that," the showrunners explained.

Movie News Guide also reported that "The Blacklist" season 4 spoilers point to Liz facing the consequences of her faux death especially since she left Red out of her plans. Apparently, she not only misled Red, who has been a father figure to her all series long, but also the FBI team in charge of protecting her. In spite of this, Red would remain on Liz's side.

"The Blacklist" season 4 will be returning to NBC in Fall of 2016.
