The Task Force's loyalty is tested on the upcoming episode of NBC's mystery action drama "The Blacklist" season 4.

Titled "Lipet's Seafood Company," the show's next episode highlights a new case involving international terrorism. According to the official synopsis, the team must look into a case of an international terrorist group operating on American soil. The challenging and complicated case eventually tests the allegiances of the Task Force. Red (James Spader) cashes in on a favor, while Aram (Amir Arison) is forced to deal with the consequences of his girlfriend hacking into the FBI computer systems.

In the episode 9 promo clip released by NBC, it is hinted that a mole is operating inside the team. "On January fifth, 'The Blacklist' returns and someone on the team is helping our worst enemy," the background voice says. "Our national security threat just became a national security leak," Liz (Megan Boone) tells the rest of the group. Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) is seen running after a suspect, taking him down on a busy street. However, the next scene cuts to him on the phone, telling someone that they were "set up with an ambush."

While numerous fight scenes and chases are teased, Liz can be heard talking to someone presumably close to her as she declares, "With Reddington, I don't assume anything." Towards the end of the video, Harold (Harry Lennix) talks to a mystery character. "You obstructed our investigation. You need to think about where your allegiance lies," he says.

As Harold was talking about something that could put the whole country in jeopardy, four faces were flashed on the screen: Ressler, Liz, Aram, and Samar (Mozhan Marnò‎). The final face to be seen was of Samar, leading fans to speculate that she might be the mole. Although details about the investigation remain under wraps, the story will certainly tackle Samar's backstory.

The fourth season of "The Blacklist" returns to the airwaves on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
