'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 spoilers, plot news: Kaley Cuoco suggests 'Friends' actress as Penny's mom, show coming to an end?
The ninth season of hit CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" left off with a lot of loose ends which fans would like to see resolved in the upcoming season 10. Along with Penny and Leonard's plan to renew their vows in the presence of their loved ones, Mary and Alfred's unexpected hookup serves as an interesting teaser for an interesting story ahead.
According to spoiler reports, the introduction of Penny's mother and brothers might be one of the highlights of this season. Since the formal wedding ceremony will require the attendance of both the bride and groom's parents, fans are already anticipating the appearance of Penny's mom for the first time.
In an interview with TV Line, Penny's portrayer, Kaley Cuoco suggested a certain "Friends" star who fits the profile of Penny's quirky mom. "I don't know what they're going to do," she said, "but I have always thought — and I hope this doesn't offend her because I know she's super young, though we know Penny's mom got knocked up very early – that Lisa Kudrow would be so perfect. I've said that for years. I think it would be hilarious, plus I'm a huge fan of hers, so it's a selfish wish."
There are also speculations that the plot will touch on Howard and Bernadette's baby planning, Raj being in the middle of a love triangle, Penny pursuing a new career and the guys being concerned about their project for the Air Force.
Back in June, Nayyar spoke about a possible end in sight for the critically-acclaimed comedy series. "Look, next season, as it stands on our contract, could be the last season of Big Bang Theory. To be completely honest ... I know people are going to want to know what happens after season 10. I don't know what's going to happen," he said.
