Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) will be moving in together in the upcoming episode of CBS' top-rating comedy series "The Big Bang Theory" season 10.

Titled "The Cohabitation Experimentation," next week's episode will see Sheldon and Amy take their relationship to a new level by living in under one roof. According to the official synopsis, Amy's apartment becomes flooded, forcing her to find another place to live for the time being. While things get sorted out, she proposes a "cohabitation experiment" with Sheldon and moves into his home. Meanwhile, Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) are upset after discovering that Raj (Kunal Nayyar) learned the gender of their baby before they do.

Sheldon and Amy's new living arrangement is only temporary, but could it lead to a permanent setup for the couple? After all, Amy has been trying to convince Sheldon to live with her for years since they started dating. Unfortunately, it might not happen anytime soon since it seems that the series won't be breaking up Leonard and Sheldon just yet.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, series creator Steve Molaro clarified that Amy and Sheldon's current setup will just be an experiment. "Big and not big, it will happen very clearly as an experiment," he revealed. "Any shifts that happen are experimental and could be undone if necessary. Phrased in the show [terms], presenting something to Sheldon that he may not want to do as science and data collection is a good way to try and get him on board."

As fans know, Sheldon doesn't react very well to any change in his life. Based on the recently-released promo stills for the upcoming episode, Sheldon doesn't appear too happy about Amy being too close to him. In one photo, Amy can be seen happily hugging Sheldon, while he reluctantly returns her tight embrace.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
