'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 release date, spoilers news: First promo features Penny's awkward family reunion
Top-rating CBS comedy "The Big Bang Theory" will soon return for its milestone 10th season, and a new promo featuring the arrival of Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) family has been released.

The upcoming premiere will see Penny and Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) formal wedding which will be attended by their closest friends and family. In the latest promo clip for season 10, Penny and her dad (Keith Carradine) appear to be sharing a beer while having a conversation about her career as a pharmaceutical sales rep, while her insecure mom Susan (Katey Sagal) reprimands her brother Randall (Jack McBrayer) for not doing something good with his life. "Hey! She just sell drugs, I had to make 'em," Randall quipped.
Although Penny's family made the mood in the story a bit tense, it is the complete opposite between takes. The cast laughs and jokes behind the scenes, and McBrayer seems to have his co-stars in stitches. "Jack's hilarious," Cuoco told USA Today during a shooting break. "He thinks we have it too easy here. He makes fun of us."
Since the series is already in its 10th year, fans can't help but wonder how long it will be on air. Rumor has it that it will end after season 10 since CBS has yet to renew the show. In an interview with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, the actress was asked if there is a possibility of the another season renewal for the hit comedy. Cuoco admitted that it is "a very expensive question ... for a lot of people."
"Yeah, 10 is a lot of seasons," Kimmel responded. "Don't you feel like that's enough?"
"Yes. That's a lot of hair, that's a lot of denim sizes," the actress replied, adding, "Ten years, come on! All of my 20s. I went from like, hot, to like, 30. I was 21 when I started this show."
Tune in to "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 which premieres on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
