'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 episode 8 spoilers, news: Sheldon decides to have baby with Amy; Young Sheldon spinoff series in the works

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) tells Amy (Mayim Bialik) that he wants to make a baby with her in the upcoming episode of CBS' top-rating sitcom "The Big Bang Theory (TBBT)" season 10.
Titled "The Brain Bowl Incubation," this week's episode will explore a different side of Amy and Sheldon's relationship. According to the official synopsis for episode 8, the experiment combining Sheldon and Amy's genes was a success. The results push Sheldon to stop at nothing to convince his girlfriend that they should have a baby together. Meanwhile, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) is embarrassed to tell his friends what the new woman he's dating does for a living.
On another note, CBS is certainly trying to keep its no. 1 comedy show on air. Although the network has yet to announce if "The Big Bang Theory" will be renewed for another season, reports say that CBS is currently developing a spinoff centered on a young Sheldon Cooper.
Sources say that the prequel series is similar to "Malcolm in the Middle," but with a young and possibly teenage Sheldon. None of the original sitcom's cast is said to be involved in the project, except Parsons who will serve as an executive producer. Compared to the traditional multicamera format in "The Big Bang Theory," the new project will be a single-camera comedy. Insiders claim that TBBT co-creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, along with showrunner Steve Molaro will oversee the program.
Now on its 10th season, "The Big Bang Theory" remains as the biggest comedy series on TV. It currently ranks as the most-watched show on broadcast TV with an average of 18.15 million viewers in most recent ratings, outmatching "NCIS" and "Sunday Night Football." Among the all-important adults 18-49 demographic, it is the no.2 broadcast scripted program and no. 3 overall.
