'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 air date, plot spoilers: Brandon Jones wears latex in guest stint
Production for "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 is well underway and based on cast member Mayim Bialik's recent Instagram post, it looks like a familiar face on TV will guest star in one episode of the upcoming installment.
Bialik, who plays Amy on the series, posted a black-and-white photo of her and Brandon Jones on the set of the sitcom. The actress was careful not to reveal any details about Jones' character. What Bialik confirmed, though, was that the "Pretty Little Liars" alum wore a latex suit in his guest stint.
TV Line speculated that Jones wore a "Flash" latex suit and that he will be cosplaying in the said episode. There was an instance back in the hit CBS TV series' maiden season when Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Raj (Kunal Nayyar), and Howard (Simon Helberg) dressed up as the Scarlet Speedster. Moreover, comic book geek Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is known to fond of the DC Universe, as evidenced by his typical choice of clothing—Flash-inspired T-shirts in multiple episodes.
With their seeming fascination with Barry Allen's alter ego, it looks like fans will indeed see Jones donning the "Flash" latex suit. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen in which episode he'll appear.
What could fans expect when the show returns on air? Well, when season 9 ended, Leonard and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) got busy preparing for their wedding, more of a formal renewal of vows, actually, with friends and family. However, the episode was marred by a series of chaotic events, one of which was the possible hook-up between Leonard's dad Alfred (Judd Hirsch) and Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) mother, Mary (Laurie Metcalf).
When season 10 premieres, fans should be able to find out what transpired between Alfred and Mary when they ditched the dinner, as well as an update on Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) pregnancy. Executive producer Steven Molaro assured that the pregnancy has been on the drawing board, so it will be a big arc in season 10.
Molaro also said Penny will have a better career in the upcoming installment, and fans will be given a sneak peek into her life, what with her mother (Katey Sagal), father (Keith Carradine), and brother (Jack McBryer) figuring in season 10's premiere episode. Apparently, all three will be present for Penny's wedding.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will premiere on Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
