"The Banner Saga 2" release date: Game will be available on PC in April but no news yet for console platforms
Stoic Studio has finally announced the much-anticipated sequel of "The Banner Saga." The announcement that was made through Steam has given so many players something to look forward to next month. The date of the game roll out will be on Apr. 19.
The role playing game, "The Banner Saga 2," will feature yet another battle between Viking groups. The new game will be available on both PC and Macs, and is expected to be a hit once it lands on the shelves at all video game shops.
Steam has also announced that they have already started taking preorders from fans for the next "The Banner Saga" installment. They are also giving away 10 percent discount for every preorder. If no changes will be made by the developer and its publisher, fans should be able to start the download in less than a month.
The game is expected to cost $20, so if you are a fan, you may want to preorder now to take advantage of the 10 percent discount. Stoic added that no other price cuts will be given on the release date onwards.
The Banner Saga 2 continues the epic adventures of the Vikings from the original story. This means that whatever decisions you took during the first game will impact how the second one debuts.
Stoic promises that the new installment will be more entertaining and enjoyable than the first one. New races will be added, along with new characters, allies and enemies. The gameplay has also been improved to spice up every battle during the game.
As of the moment, there is still no announcement with regard to Xbox or PlayStation release of the game. The first installment has just been rolled out on console platforms early this year. Fans will have to be more patient because "The Banner Saga 2" may not come to Xbox or PlayStation anytime soon.
