'The Bachelor' season 21 news: Is Corinne's antics just an act? Is 'The Bachelor' scripted?

"The Bachelor" has been around since 2002, and it is currently airing its 21st season. Some believe that the reality series is as authentic as it gets, however, there has always been talk that the show is scripted and contestants are told what to say on camera. Well, if the producers are telling Corinne Olympios how to act in front of the camera, there's going to a lot of controversies.
Corinne has continued to surprise viewers this season, and her antics have reached new heights in the previous episode when she started walking around wearing nothing but a trench coat. And let's not forget about the whipped cream incident. Nick Viall probably had a hard time keeping his cool while Corinne tried to seduce him.
Corinne's antics may seem like an act, but she insists that she's just being herself with a post on Instagram.
In a blog post on PEOPLE, Nick admitted that Corinne's antics never cease to surprise him. "Did I ever expect to find myself in front of the Bachelor mansion with a woman in a trench coat? Never. But Corinne is bold, sexy and unique ... so I kind of just ran with it for a moment," he stated.
He also pointed out that Corinne wasn't really naked while she was wearing the trench coat. Well, it did look like she was wearing nothing at the time.
As Corinne continues to stir up drama by being herself, Nick said she didn't want the others to see her as a threat. "I never wanted Corinne to find herself with a target on her back ... but sleeping through a rose ceremony didn't help her," he said.
"Despite the fact Corinne had a rose from the group date, she should have been there out of respect for the women who aren't in that same position of comfort," he added.
Corinne may be controversial, but she will continue to draw viewers with her bizarre antics.
"The Bachelor" airs on Mondays, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
