'The Affair' season 3 premiere date, spoilers: Noah deals with myserious enemy; New teaser previews Noah's difficult situation

Noah (Dominic West) will be dealing with a new enemy on "The Affair" season 3.
Showtime's acclaimed drama wrapped up its second season with Helen (Maura Tierney) and Noah (Dominic West) caught up in yet another complication that led to one character's death. In the end, Noah took the fall and was incarcerated for a crime he never did.
Season 3, which is set to premiere later this month, picks up the story three years later. Helen is still struggling with guilt, while Noah is having a hard time in prison after being jailed for the murder of Scotty Lockhart (Colin Donnell). After completing his prison sentence, Noah emerges a different man, with less confidence and somehow even more sullen. Even though he is already a free man, the demons he encountered in prison still exist to haunt him.
According to TV Guide, the story will reveal that a security guard (new cast member Brendan Fraser) is causing Noah serious PTSD. Although it wasn't revealed what happened to them, the publication notes there's a very good reason that Noah is worried and afraid that the guard is determined to look for him. While Noah believes that the whole drama is over, he should actually be cautious of every move he makes because he might never find the redemption he is looking for.
Meanwhile, Showtime recently unveiled a new set of promo clips for the upcoming season. Noah appears to be having a hard time adjusting to his life in prison, and at some point in one video, a fallout between Noah and Alison was hinted. A behind-the-scene video also shows Tierney and West discussing what's next for their characters in the drama. "Helen is a good, decent person that did an indecent thing," Tierney teased.
"The Affair" season 3 premieres on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.
