There may still be an entire year to go before the fourth season of The CW's post-apocalyptic drama "The 100" airs, but fans are already clamoring for details on the future of Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and her friends.

Luckily, "The 100" actress Marie Avgeropoulos has dropped some major hints about what her character, Octavia, will be up to and how Lincoln's (Ricky Whittle) death in season 3 will affect Octavia going forward.

Speaking with Just Jared Jr. at the red carpet of the recent 2016 CW Upfronts, Avgeropoulos said that fans will see the nastier layers of Octavia's personality and that she is excited to play the evolving character.

"Next season, you're going to see Octavia take a lot of really dark turns and uncover some really nasty layers," the actress told the outlet. "That will be exciting for me as an actress. She's always evolving and changing."

"[You're] going to see Octavia take an even darker turn into the depths of her despair," Avgeropoulos told IGN, "and she makes some interesting choices then, too."

In the season 3 finale of "The 100," Alie (Erica Cerra) told Clarke that Earth will become inhabitable in six months because of a nuclear disaster. Meanwhile, Octavia shocked everyone by killing Pike (Michael Beach), avenging her beloved Lincoln.

According to Avgeropoulos, Octavia's actions during the finale will have repercussions on the Sky Crew's chances of survival in season 4.

"It's something she had to think through, but couldn't help doing," the actress said about Octavia's decision. "It will affect the rest of the group and 'The 100' and how they survive."

In the IGN interview, Avgeropoulos also said that Octavia can't trust anyone and that she hopes that the character will eventually venture out on her own, just like Clarke did. The actress also said that Octavia will have a hard time making decisions, especially when it comes to her own family.

"The 100" returns to The CW in 2017.
