'The 100' Season 3 spoilers: Will Bellamy meet a fate like Lexa?

Fans of the hit post-apocalyptic science fiction TV series "The 100" is still reeling from the death of Lexa (played by Alycia Debnam-Carey) in eposode 7 titled "Thirteen," just after she and Clarke Taylor (played by Eliza Griffin) lose to the longstanding intimacy existing between them and finally had sex. Now, another "The 100" main character might just be following Lexa's spirit in the afterlife, especially if he chooses to betray a ruthless leader. This character is no other than Bellamy Blake (played by Bobby Morley).
To recap what happened recently in "The 100," Clarke and Lexa succumbed to the vulnerability they are feeling in the midst of the turmoil among the 12 allied Grounder clans. To add that the two were feeling lonely and torn, it was not surprising that anytime, the couple would give in to the sexual attraction and tension between them, but the surprising thing was that Lexa died right after she consummated her relationship with Clarke.
This caused too much stress to the viewers of "The 100," especially those who are members of the LGBT community, and at one point even led to a call to boycott the upcoming episode of the show due to the unfortunate portrayal of same-sex union on television. Debnam-Carey is happy that people loved her character on the show, but she hopes the fans will still watch the show no matter what happens.
"There's so much love for that character, like from me, from the writers and from Jason [Rothenberg]. I hate to hear people wanting to not watch the show anymore for a certain reason like that," she told Entertainment Weekly in an interview as reported in Yibada.
On the other hand, Bellamy seems to finally wake up to his true self and rethink of the actions and alliances he has made. As Marcus Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) was put to a death sentence by the newly-elected Chancellor Charles Pike (played by Michael Beach), it was made clear that the latter will do everything just to make sure the people will follow him and not dare to defy any of his commands. Bellamy has allied himself with Pike and agreed to the latter that the Grounders should be terminated, with his longing for vengeance fueled by the death of his new girlfriend, Gina.
It was noted in the latest promo clip of episode 9 that Bellamy is trying to convince people to help him, an action seen to be a move to save Kane as reported by The Inquisitr. If ever Pike finds out about this and especially if Bellamy thinks of betraying the chancellor, then Bellamy's life will be put to danger. After he played a part in killing many Grounder armies, will Bellamy die before he fully redeems himself? Can he save Kane's life by defying Pike?
Episode 9 titled "Stealing Fire" will air on The CW network on March 31.
