Telltale 'Game Of Thrones' Reviews Positive, Confirms Cast For Upcoming Episodes

Telltale Games' first episode in "Game of Thrones" just bowed to rave reviews. Those who bought the game also quickly noticed that Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen were part of the menu in the game. This led to speculation that the game would add more members of the cast of the hugely popular TV show.
Since its debut, the first episode of the game, titled "Iron from Ice," has been gathering stellar reviews from critics. Describing it as "actually good," Forbes notes that the game assumes that players are familiar with the TV show. It therefore immediately puts them right in the middle of dangerous action, in other words they find themselves at the Red Wedding.
Players can play five major characters. Among these are Gared Tuttle, who is squire to Lord Gregor Forrester; Ethan Forrester, and his sister Mira.
Many who have reviewed the game note that major characters end up dying in the game -- very much like the TV show which often operates around the theme "win or die."
As for the characters in the first episode, Forbes says Ethan Forrester's story line is the most shocking. Even though players get to make choices for the character, the choice does not change the character's fate.
Some reviewers point out that reliance on "death, malice and betrayal" to keep the story interesting will result in players being placed in unwinnable situations, which will ultimately work against the game and will reduce its popularity.
However, as Telltale draws more inspiration from the TV show and books for its episodic game, it seems natural that they would look to introduce more members of the cast from the TV Show. Entertainment Weekly says the game does exactly that.
Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke, who play Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen respectively, will be joining the cast in the upcoming episodes. However, there is no news about the exact episode in which they will join the game.
