Telltale 'Game Of Thrones' Releases Trailer Featuring Cast From Hit HBO TV Series
The new "Game of Thrones" game from Telltale recently released a trailer which included appearances from some of top cast members of the series, notably Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Cersei Lannister (Lena Heady), Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) and Ramsay Snow (Iwan Rheon).
The trailer showed that in addition to giving voices to their respective roles, Dinklage, Heady, Dromer and Rheon will also be appearing in the game. While their appearances are likely to be motion captured performances, they are expected to generate a lot of interest in the game.
Telltale is set to release the first episode in "Game of Thrones" this December, and it is going to be titled "Iron from Ice." It will be the first of six episodes in the game.
In an interview by IGN, the writer of the first episode explained how six episodes were needed to fully explain the "epic story."
As stated earlier, the game will feature new characters who are not in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series. One of them was revealed last week to be Ethan Forrester. He is from House Forrester and is the third son. According to IGN, he is interested in reading and music. Talia is his twin sister, and they both share an affinity for the Ironwood trees that is in the nearby forest.
IGN also notes that Ethan's brothers have taken part in the War of the Five Kings. It looks like events since then have forced him to take charge of House Forrester.
There is no information on the roles played by Tyrion Lannister, Cersei Lannister, and Margaery Tyrell in the story. But it appears that the characters from House Forrester are viewed as enemies to the throne. This was hinted in the trailer where Cersei Lannister is heard linking House Forrester to the "traitorous Stark family."
The trailer also indicates that the Ironwood forest and trade in the highly priced wood is going to be a major plot point in the first episode. It could see a character ending up at the Wall.
