'Tekken X Street Fighter' release date update: Developer is waiting for a good timing to launch the title?

Fans are definitely excited for the upcoming game from developer Bandai Namco Entertainment called "Tekken X Street Fighter." According to reports the game will be available for PS4 and Xbox One players. However, fans may have to wait a little longer as rumors are circulating that the title may not be released anytime soon.

The latest report certainly made many fans disappointed; however, producer Katsuhiro Harada assures them that the game will be worth the wait. Apparently, the reason why the company is delaying the release of the highly anticipated game is because "Street Fighter V" has just been released. The company believes that by rolling out another fighting game, it may jeopardize the success of its current "Street Fighter" installment, which was released on Feb. 16.

During his interview with Game Spot, Harada provided a good explanation when asked where the game is at right now.

"That's a difficult question to answer," the game producer said. "When we develop fighting games, we try to keep the core community in mind as well as the wider audience that wants to play these games. But currently the situation is with fighting games, you have Street Fighter V that just released--a lot of people are playing that fervently--and there's a large crowd out there waiting or Tekken 7."

He added that the company is definitely waiting for a good timing to release the upcoming game.

"We don't want to split these communities, so a good window in which to release Tekken x Street Fighter is something that's become difficult recently. So it's on hold for the moment."

Meanwhile, the current "Street Fighter V" appears to be getting exciting as it continues to receive updates after updates from the game developer.

On the other hand, "Tekken 7," has yet to be released by Bandai Namco on console platforms. As of the moment, no official details have been provided by the company.
