'Tekken 7' release date, news, updates: Console version to launch next month? VR features possible

Bandai Namco's much-anticipated game title, "Tekken 7" was first released in Japan as an arcade video game last year. However, the popular game studio has yet to release the latest "Tekken" installment worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. However, the latest reports suggest that the console version of "Tekken 7" will formally be launched next month. The unveiling of the "Tekken 7" console video game will happen during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, where Bandai Namco is expected to be one of the participants.

There has been no confirmation from Bandai Namco regarding the roster of their upcoming video games that they will showcase at E3 this year. However, the fans are already speculating that the game studio will include "Tekken 7" to the list of games that will be unveiled during the event. As reported by the Breathe CAST, Bandai Namco is planning to release the console version of the latest "Tekken" video game next month as E3 will be the best venue to showcase such a huge game title.

Moreover, the same publication noted that "Tekken 7" will be the best entry in the game franchise in terms of improvement. Being the ninth installment in the series overall, "Tekken 7" will boast a lot of improvements over its predecessors regarding the gameplay features and settings. "Tekken 7" producer Katsuhiro Harada said in an interview with a Japanese gaming site via Breathe CAST that the game will surpass the previous "Tekken" titles. Harada also said that the players owning the console version of the game can expect a particular gift from the game studio.

There are also reports regarding the game being supported by PlayStation's latest VR headset, and it is possible that the players will experience more thrilling battle rounds in virtual reality format. However, Bandai Namco has yet to confirm the VR capabilities of "Tekken 7."

Aside from E3, participants of this year's London Comic Con will be able to have their first "Tekken 7" experience. The event will run from May 27 to 29, and Bandai Namco will be one of the attendees of the huge popular gathering in the United Kingdom. Shoryuken reported that the London Comic Con participants may be able to test the features of "Tekken 7" firsthand.
