Tekken 7 is going to hit Japanese arcades in February 2015, but there has been no official announcement yet of the game coming to consoles.

Recently, rumors surfaced that the game could come to consoles sometime in March or May 2015.

It has also been reported that the game will be released for arcades, PCs and consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One but that there are no plans yet to include the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii-U.

But with Tekken 7 being designed with the aid of Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4 the creators of the game Bandai Namco could release it into any platform easily.

Director Katsuhiro Harada said earlier this year that with "The Unreal Engine 4, we expect to rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platform and go beyond it. "

However, fans are not bothered much by the limited release and instead have focused on the characters and story in Tekken 7.

Recently, fan fury was ignited when Bandai Namco announced that a new character, Lucky Chloe, would be introduced into the fighting game series.

Lucky Chloe is described by many as a "break dancing cat girl" as she wears a cat/kitten costume and has a fondness for break dance. After her introduction, fans from North America took to the Internet to criticize the character, saying she would only be popular to Japanese audiences.

The backlash against Lucky Chloe then led the game maker to hint that she will only be available in Asia and Europe and not in America. Harada also stated on his Twitter account that North America audiences probably wanted a "muscular and skinhead character" in the game.

As for the other characters in Tekken 7, so far Heihachi, Kazuya, Paul and King have been confirmed to appear.
