It was first announced by Bandai Namco, the game developer company behind the successful arcade and console video game series "Tekken," that the latest installment of the game called "Tekken 7" is going to be released in PlayStation 4 consoles soon. As of the meantime, the only "Tekken 7" game version is in arcade mode and was released exclusively in Japan. However, the latest rumors point to the PS4 game version launch sometime this year. The game is also expected to bring back a gameplay mode from the previous "Tekken" installments called the "Tekken Bowl."

Once "Tekken 7" is released on PS4, players can now choose the "Tekken Bowl" mode to fight other players in the online community via the PlayStation Network, Yibada reported. The online multiplayer mode for "Tekken 7" can be expected as there were also other video games released in PS4 that enable player versus player (PvP) using the same PlayStation 4 feature.

"Tekken 7" was first announced to be made available in PlayStation 4 platforms after the arcade game release in Japan. As seen in the previous "Tekken" video games, the franchise has always been a console game which can be played in older and new generation consoles. However, things might change as it was also reported by Yibada that Bandai Namco is considering to have a PC version of "Tekken 7" released. The rumors mention this as a possibility, although it was also noted that the PC version is in the cards due to Bandai Namco being unable to launch the PS4 version up to now. It is unclear whether the PC version will push through when "Tekken 7" is finally released in PS4. If ever the PC release rumors turned out correct, "Tekken 7" will be the first game in the series to be released in PC, the PC Gamer reported. It will be seen as a smart move to compete with Capcom's "Streetfighter" that recently has its first PC version.

Yibada also noted that Bandai Namco is set to conduct several regional tours in North America to let the game enthusiasts outside Japan the experience playing "Tekken 7" for the first time. There is no official announcement or confirmation from the Japanese company regarding the exact PS4 release of "Tekken 7," although a report from Crossmap suggests that the launching may happen in the second or third quarter of 2016.
