'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' release date rumors: Game to be released in late 2016, early 2017?

One of the most eagerly awaited video games expected to come out this year is "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution." After rumors of its release date started to circulate all over the Internet, fans became overly excited and eager to know more about the details of the game.

According to reports, the new addition to the always popular arcade game will come out in the summer this year. However, players may have to wait for a few months for the console version of the next installment as it is expected to hit the shelves in the last quarter of this year or early next year.

The game's publisher, Bandai Namco Entertainment, has also done a terrific job of hyping up the new entry of the franchise leading to its upcoming release. Although, the specifics of the release have not been confirmed yet by the company, details of the game have slowly emerged. A new trailer for its arcade version came out last month through GameSpot. Fans were able to see gameplay features as well as new characters.

Meanwhile, the game's designer, Michael Murray, debunked the rumored possibility of incorporating the VR technology into the next installment. He certainly cleared the assumptions that have been going around the Internet.

"When we announced that we're going to do something with virtual reality, people were like 'oh, so you're going to be playing in first person and hitting each other?" said Murray.

"That sounds like crap! There was a hidden command in Tekken 2 [where you could play in first person] that was cool in itself but you wouldn't want to do that for your whole Tekken fix, right? So probably not that. People like Tekken the way that it is as far as the core gameplay."

At this moment, all fans can do is wait until the company releases an official and detailed announcement about the release of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution."
