'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' release date news: Game is heading for a late 2016 release on PS4?
It has already been confirmed by Bandai Namco Games that the new installment of the critically-acclaimed video game, "Tekken," is already in the works. According to reports, "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will be coming to PlayStation 4 before the year ends. However, there is still no confirmation from the game developer if the new installment of the franchise will find its way to Xbox One and PC.

"Tekken" game designer Michael Murray has already provided limited information about "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" during the recently concluded Final Round. Although he did not talk much about the specifics of the game, the interviewer observed that some of the characters in "Tekken 6" were not included in the unofficial list provided by Murray. However, Murray has also pointed out that more characters to be included in the next installment will be announced soon.
With regard to the exclusivity of the game for the PS4 console, Murray also added that they are still working on some other things, which led fans to believe that the company might be working on bringing the game to a different platform. The company is also working on a VR version of the game, which could be pretty big when it comes out in the market.
Murray also said that "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is actually pretty easy to port to other formats but could not confirm if an Xbox One version is also possible. The latest rumors suggest that the PlayStation 4 version of the game will be rolled out late this year or around early next year.
Meanwhile, the arcade version for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" has already been confirmed to be released in July 2016.
Bandai Namco is currently planning a tour across the United States to promote the release of the new installment of the franchise. Schedules are available on their official Facebook page.
