'Teen Wolf' season 6 release date, cast rumors: Dylan O' Brien still a series regular, producer talks about the possibility of Colton Haynes' return

"Teen Wolf" will soon hit the screens for its much-anticipated sixth season, and contrary to rumors that Dylan O' Brien will not be in the show, producer Jeff Davis confirmed that the young actor will still be a series regular.

Speaking to Creative 132, Davis mentioned that O' Brien will likely be in every episode once he is well enough to begin filming scenes. "I think i can say yes, he might not be in the third episode, but i think he'll be in it. We'll make space," Davis said. For the uninitiated, the actor recently sustained serious injuries while filming for the latest installment of the "Maze Runner" movie franchise.

The producer also discussed the possibility of Colton Haynes' return, saying that if the show will have more seasons, a storyline for Haynes' character can be worked out. "It's not like we don't want to and he wouldn't do it," Davis explained. "The last time we hadn't enough story, the twins were going to be used 12 episodes, Colton 12 episodes and Deucalion 24. But Colton dropped out. He wasn't fine with it, because he could become a regular on Arrow. So we decided to have him gone, for a while. He wanted to be back. But a lot happened with fans and people. So today, Teen Wolf is way different, would he fit in? We don't know. But if we go on and on for more seasons, i can tell you, he'll be back for atleast 10 episodes."

On another note, "Teen Wolf" lead star Tyler Posey is keeping himself busy by pursuing a career in music aside from working on the hit MTV show. The young actor is currently writing music with All Time Low's guitarist Jack Barakat, with plans to produce their works as well. "It's so early in the works, but Jack from All Time Low, he and I have become really good friends over the past year, and just recently we talked about producing something with each other and writing music with each other," Posey told Billboard. "So we're about to do something really big and, hopefully, do a collab with a bunch of other punk guys. It's all punk. My whole life is punk. That's all I want to do is be performing punk onstage, so it's going to happen. Within the next year, I guarantee you."

"Teen Wolf" season 6 is expected to air around October or November 2016 on MTV.
