'Teen Wolf' season 6 air date, plot spoilers: JR Bourne hints Tyler Hoechlin's possible comeback; 'Teen Wolf' movie to happen?
The upcoming sixth season of "Teen Wolf" premieres a few months from now, and it will be bittersweet for fans because it will mark the hit MTV program's end. Star JR Bourne recently shared details on season 6, and a familiar face might be coming back for the show's last bow.
In an interview with The Wrap, Bourne expressed his gratitude for being a part of the cast. He mentioned that "Teen Wolf" has been one of the most influential experiences in his whole career, adding: "The longevity of it, the friends that we've made from it. I'm standing here now with my hand on Tyler Hoechlin's shoulder, we are all genuinely close from the show."
When asked if he was hinting Hoechlin's possible return, the actor gave a short but meaningful response. "Well, there you have it," he said. Executive producer Jeff Davis also gave his take on this matter, saying that Hoechlin is more than welcome to the show if he wishes to reprise his role as Derek Hale.
Season 6 will feature Ghost Riders as the new Big Bad in the story. Bourne hints that exciting and action-packed scenes featuring the main characters and the villains are up ahead. "There are going to be some great scenes between them and us in 6A," he continued.
On another note, a "Teen Wolf" movie might be underway after the supernatural series wraps up next year. According to spoiler reports, Davis previously confirmed that he is considering a film version for the popular teen program. "Tyler [Posey] and I always talk about doing a movie," the EP said. This could entail that viewers will see more of Scott (Tyler Posey), Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and the rest of the pack in Beacon Hills right after their graduation.
