'Teen Mom' Jenelle Evans Announces Engagement

Jenelle Evans, one of the stars of "Teen Mom 2," announced Wednesday that she is engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Nathan Griffith.

The couple announced their exciting news via Instagram, where Evans posted a photo of her engagement ring along with the caption: "Oh man! someone's engaged." Earlier in the evening, the couple had shared photos of themselves with friends enjoying a dinner together while on vacation in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Evans recalled the surprise engagement to MTV in a recent interview. "We went to a fancy restaurant, and we were just going out to have a nice dinner," the reality show star said.

"[Nathan] just tapped his glass, stood up in front of the whole restaurant, and made this big speech," Evans continued. "How he loves me, he wants to be with me for the rest of his life. And he's really happy. And then he got down on one knee and proposed in front of everyone."

Both Evans and Griffith have children from previous marriages. Evans was previously married to Andrew Lewis, with whom she shares one son, Jace. Evans also shares a son, Kaiser, with Griffith.

The reality show star went on to tell MTV that she was completely shocked by the vacation proposal.

"I was completely shocked," the 23-year-old said of the proposal. "I think I had an idea he would probably propose to me here, but I didn't know when during the week he was gonna do it. And I didn't know what was gonna happen or anything. So it was like expected, but unexpected."
