Taylor Swift Birthday News: Swift Celebrates 25th Birthday On Internet And At Home In NYC

Taylor Swift's 25th birthday on Friday turned out to be a celebration on the Internet and at her New York City Tribeca apartment as several celebrities joined the newly minted pop star.
The songstress has an overwhelming presence on the Internet where she regularly interacts with fans and those who buy her albums.
So it was no surprise when a hashtag to celebrate her birthday trended on Twitter for over 24 hours.
The hashtag was popularized by legions of her fans on Twitter. The fact that Aretha Franklin sang "Happy Birthday" also helped give it traction.
It also helped that several of Taylor's friends tweeted about her birthday, with Selena Gomez even going the extra mile by painting her nails to honor the occasion.
As for the star, her birthday celebration kicked off at the Jingle Ball where she performed and encouraged those in the audience to scream as it was her birthday. Then the star went home in the same costume that she wore during the performance and promptly attended a party thrown by her famous friends.
At the party were celebrities such as Sam Smith, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Karlie Kloss and the band HAIM. Others on the guest list included Nick Jonas and his girlfriend Olivia Culpo, Shawn Mendes, Charlie XCX, Chrissy Teigen, Ansel Elgort, Jaime King and Iggy Azalea.
Proceedings during the party were not kept under wraps as Swift posted photos in Instagram while the party was going on. In two photos, she was seen blowing out the candles on a cake.
Then Swift's friends dined on pizza as they took more photos showing some of them dressed in costumes and face masks.
As for gifts, among the many that Swift received was a necklace with a cat's face which she got from Lena Dunham.
