Taylor Swift and Katy Perry Latest News: 'Bad Blood' Singer Refuses to Talk About Subject of Her Song
Taylor Swift may have been wearing her heart on her sleeve but there is one thing that you would never hear her talk about: Katy Perry.
In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Swift announced that she is never going to talk about Katy Perry again after being the first one to mention about her "bad blood against Perry."
"I'm not giving them anything to write about. I'm not walking up the street with boys, I'm not stumbling out of clubs drunk," Swift said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"But I'm never going to talk about her in my interview. It's not going to happen," she added.
In the early promotion of her most recent "1989" album, Swift made headlines by telling Rolling Stone that her song "Bad Blood" was about a fellow female music star who "did something so horrible" to one of her arena tours.
Internet sleuths quickly deduced that the song was about Perry, who hired Swift's backup dancers out from under her.
Perry, on the other hand, shared her opinion about parts she and other chart toppers play in the world of celebrity just last month.
"You've got to name someone the villain, someone the princess, someone the mom-, the dad-type — you know, there always have to be characters," she explained in an Elle interview.
"As pop figures, we're all characters. And the media uses that. Who is the sweetheart, who is the villain? You know. Taylor's the sweetheart. Kanye's the villain. That's the narrative," she added, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
However, Swift was more willing to open up about her friendships with folks like Lena Dunham, Lorde, Karlie Kloss and Jaime King, who recently named the singer the godmother to her second child.
"The thing about my girlfriends right now is that none of them needs me for anything other than friendship," she said.
