Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran to Perform at Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2014

Taylor Swift is due to perform at the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show where she will join Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Hozier on stage in London.

The fashion show is one of the most prestigious lingerie shows in the world and has over the years featured artists like Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.

News that Swift would be performing in the fashion show was first announced on Twitter, as the Victoria Secret account tweeted "We booked her twice, pumped to party like it's #1989 with @taylorswift13 at VSFashionShow"

Swift also took part in the same fashion show in 2013 where she wore a mini dress and top hat with the Union Jack on them. E! Online notes that the reference to the Union Jack last year was fitting as the show this year will be taking place in London. Previously the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show had always been held in a major city within the United States.

Before the announcement about Swift was made, Joan Smalls, a Victoria Secret model, stated that she hoped Swift would perform. Speaking to E! News, Smalls said, "I would like to see Taylor Swift because she has a new album that is blowing everybody else out of the water."

With Swift's participation being announced ahead of time, there is little doubt that the show is going to be packed to capacity. Adding star power to the show are Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Hozier. As for the models who will take part, E! Online is reporting that Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima will be featured on the catwalk along with Candice Swanepoel.

Last year saw Swift join Fall Out Boy to open the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. In that particular show, she playfully interacted with various models on stage. Her mini dress and train featuring a sparkling Union Jack was a big hit with the audience and critics as well.
