'Survivor' season 33 cast news: Millennials vs Gen X castaways revealed

It will be a battle of generations in "Survivor" season 33 and the contestants who will fight it out to outwit, outsmart and outplay for glory have been revealed by CBS.

There are 20 competitors divided into two teams based on their age. The Millennials (born early 1980s to 2000s) are called the Vanua Tribe while the players from the Generation X (early 1960s to early 1980s) belong to the Takali Tribe.

As per CBS, the Millennials "grew up in a time of rapid change and are often described as having priorities that are vastly different from previous generations."

Technology is the asset of the group and is the defining component of the generation, so it will be exciting to see them deal with the lack of it in Fiji come "Survivor" season 33.

The Millennials obviously make up the younger group in "Survivor" season 33. There is a member of the team who is only 18 years old – high school student Will Wahl (top far right) from Long Valley, New Jersey.

The oldest Millennial on the tribe is 31-year-old professional gamer Mari Takahashi (bottom second to the left) from Los Angeles, California.

The other team members are (top left to right) 27-year-old real estate agent Justin Starrett, 25-year-ol vacation club sales Michaela Bradshaw, 25-year-old homeless shelter manager Adam Klein, 23-year-old bartender Jessica Figueroa and 23-year-old missionary recruiter Michelle Schubert.

The rest of the Millennials side of "Survivor" season 33 are (bottom left to right) 24-year-old barista Hannah Shapiro, 24-year-old ski instructor Taylor Lee Stocker and 28-year-old asset manager Zeke Smith.

The Gen X representatives for "Survivor" season 33, as per CBS, "forms the bridge between the Baby Boomers and the Millennials and has been collectively labeled as hard-working and independent people."

It will be interesting to see if the group see eye to eye with the young ones or the generation's worth of difference in belief will get in the way.

The Gen X tribe's youngest is 32-year-old Ken McNickle (second from top left), who works as a model. The oldest on this team is Paul Wachter (second from the bottom left) a 52-year-old boat mechanic.

The rest of the team includes 42-year-old dietician Lucy Huang, 38-year-old trial lawyer Chris Hammons, 37-year-old Asst. District Attorney Jessica Lewis, 37-year-old recruiting director Rachel Ako and 39-year-old insurance adjuster Ciandre Taylor.

To complete the "Survivor" season 33 Gen X tribe are 42-year-old television writer David Wright, 45-year-old youth pastor Sunday Burquest and 42-year-old police sergeant Bret LaBelle.

Speaking about the theme for the upcoming season of "Survivor," host Jeff Probst told Entertainment Weekly that "the collision of cultures one of the best themes we've ever done."

The battle begins in "Survivor" season 33 on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
