'Supernatural' Season 10 Spoilers: Will This Be the Last of the Winchesters?

When a television series has been going on solidly for 10 long years, there's bound to be fan fatigue in sight, right? No? Well, that remains to be seen in "Supernatural."

This Season 10, regular viewers of the show are once more confronted with the relationship between the brothers Winchester now again being brought to severe points of strain. In episode 2 ("Reichenbach") Demon Dean agonizes over the effect of the Mark of Cain on him: Utter, insatiable rage.

Meanwhile, as a counterpoint to his brother's agony, Sam is also agonizing on how to recover Dean. It is easy to think that with such a kind of determined focus, brotherly love would well be the thematic get-go, but no.

Dean's characterization has become harsher in his lack of empathy towards Sam. This is a total turnabout from before when Sam was the one who was dripping putrid vile against Dean. Now, not only does Dean refuse to help Sam; the latter also has to contend with the fact that his brother poses a threat to him.

Scary. But not only because this looks like a situation (familiar!) that can soon be resolved by the producers. Again.

So, what's the prognosis? Will "Supernatural" go on to Season 11? Or will this season see its finale, as it's been rumored as far back as two months ago?

Stay scared because more horrible things still could happen in this series other than a cancellation!
