CBS recently announced a crossover happening between two well-loved DC superheroes: The Flash and Supergirl.

Fans are already anticipating the face-to-face between Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) a.k.a. The Flash and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) a.k.a. Supergirl. However, showrunners Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg believe that there is one more issue: The episodes will not be aired in order.

In an early screening last Thursday, Berlanti confirmed the issue with The Hollywood Reporter. "They flip order, obviously, because this will air Monday and The Flash one that sort of hints at how he gets over there and gets back airs on Tuesday," Berlanti said. "The audience has to forgive us because one has to air before the other, but they shouldn't wait to watch Supergirl until after The Flash episode. They should certainly watch it before. But you'll see the shout out in the episode. It deals with Barry increasing his speed and we're very excited about next week's episode of The Flash, too," the showrunner explained.

As for what to expect in the upcoming crossover episodes, Barry Allen will be at Supergirl's National City. While wearing a tachyon generator in his chest to increase his speed, Barry accidentally runs too fast causing him to land in a different universe, ending up in National City. While Barry is stuck, he helps out Kara as well as the DEO.

The first episode featuring the two will be an episode in "Supergirl." Berlanti discussed how it made more sense to bring a veteran to a new show instead of the other way around. On the other hand, the showrunner is not ruling that out, saying Kara Danvers visiting Central City on "The Flash" is still possible.

"The Flash" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW and "Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS. Meanwhile, the first crossover episode entitled "World's Finest" will be featured on 'Supergirl' this Monday, March 28 at 8 p.m. ET. The trailer can be watched here.
