'Super Mario Run' release date, news & updates: game to launch on Nintendo 3DS, iPhone and iPad devices in December

November is about to be eclipsed by the new month and people are now all set to be at their most nostalgic as Nintendo is about to release its first mobile entry "Super Mario Run" from its flagship video game iteration to all support iPhone and iPad devices on Dec. 15, 2016.
Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of sales and marketing, has shared, "The wait is almost over for a Super Mario game that can be played on mobile devices. Developed under the direction of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Run brings a new take on the series' beloved action-platforming gameplay to iPhone and iPad for the first time."
Iconic Mario will be seen in "Super Mario Run" to be running forward on his own while he relies on the player's finger-tapping in order to jump over obstacles as he also avoids his enemies. The tapping will also enable Mario to perform stylish moves and at the same time, collect coins as he tries to reach the traditional flagpole to complete his courses.
Announced back in September by Miyamoto himself when Apple has released new variants of iPhones, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, "Super Mario Run" is also slated to arrive on Nintendo 3DS in December. As per iOS devices, the forthcoming iteration will support devices which run iOS 8 and above.
With a one-time payment of $9.99, "Super Mario Run" will be launched in approximately 150 countries. The download will be free and the paid fee will reportedly unlock unlimited access to all of the game's three modes. Apart from iPhones and iPads, the game is also set to be playable on Apple iPod Touch devices.
As of this writing, Nintendo has not released any information yet whether Android devices will have their own version.
