The premiere for the much-hyped sixth season of "Suits" is just around the corner, and the story will shed light on Mike as he serves time in jail as a consequence to his past actions. With the rest of the characters being affected by his mistakes, it would be interesting to see how everyone will deal with all the complications in the story.

Season 6 will feature how Rachel's life will be like now that Mike is not by her side, and his incarceration will surely take a toll on their tumultuous relationship. According to Mike's portrayer Patrick J. Adams, the couple's future together is obviously on hold but Rachel will have a chance to grow as a character while Mike is away. "It's really exciting this season for Rachel — when I'm reading the scripts, I love that I finally get to see Rachel be something herself. She's her own character, she's getting to go through law school, and deal with her own problems," he said.  "For fans of that relationship, they'll be a little sad not to be getting more of it this season, but ultimately I think they're building up to what will probably be a big reunion when and if he gets out of prison."

Most fans hope for a time jump because they do not want to see the lead character suffering behind bars, but Adams confirmed that it will not be happening. Mike has to confront the ramifications of the events in season 5 head-on, but at the same time, he has to fight for his life. There are some people in jail threatening him because they have a history with Harvey Specter, and the only way they can get back to the cunning lawyer is through Mike.

Episode 1 is titled "To Trouble" and the official synopsis reads:

"In the Season 6 premiere, Mike transitions to prison life; and Harvey and the others cope with the fallout of Mike's plea deal and try to stop what's left of PSL from collapsing."

Tune in to the season 6 premiere of "Suits" on July 13, Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST on USA network.
