'Suits' season 6 spoilers: Gabriel Macht speaks on Harvey Specter's character development, 'can opener'

Following a tumultuous fifth season, fans are aching to know where the "Suits" season 6 storyline will go. Reports say that the show will return to TV screens this summer, but while waiting for its comeback, executives and cast members gave some hints for the next season.
In an interview with Wetpaint, Gabriel Macht teased that the comedic element of the show will be back next season. "Maybe we'll see these people smiling a little bit more or we'll see some more witty banter and more playful elements of the show," the actor said. "I think there will be more of a balance and a playful nature when we come back [for Season 6]."
When it comes to the personality of Harvey Specter, Macht mentioned how the character developed over the years. "So what I was greatly fond of in season five is we did get inside of him to deal with the skeletons in his closet, what his mother issues are, what are the abandonment issues that were spurned by Donna leaving him? He became unravelled, and I like seeing that in Harvey," he told Stuff. "So now we'll build him back up for a little bit and then hopefully we'll crush him again," he said laughingly. When asked about the ever-so mysterious can opener, the actor did not give any details if it will finally be explained next season. "The can opener is an instrument that is involved in a ritual played out before Harvey goes to trial," he said. "And that's all I can tell you."
Despite developments in Harvey's character, reports season 6 will focus more on Mike. After being behind bars, viewers will see how his story takes shape, and how it will affect the people around him. The most important aspect for next season is how he will resolve all his issues with his career and personal life.
"Suits" is expected to be back this summer on USA.
