'Suits' season 6 episode 9 spoilers, plot news: Will Mike be getting out of prison soon?

Is Mike Ross finally getting out of prison? That's what the lasts spoilers for "Suits" season 6 seem to point out. That development is a far cry from the events of the past that saw the deal that would have gotten him out sooner fall through.

Is Mike finally getting out of prison? | USA Network

Wednesday's episode titled "Borrowed Time" saw Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Harvey (Gabriel Macht) trying everything they could to get the deal back on the table. The only problem is too many obstacles stood in the way that had to be resolved first before anything else.

For one, Mike had to get on Kevin's (Eric Palladino) good side again to get him on board. To do so, he had to tell Kevin that truth – that he was an informant and snitching on the latter. It was a bold move for Mike.

The downside is that neither Mike nor Harvey can do anything about Kevin's case to get him out of prison or at least commute his sentence. Nevertheless, it looked like things are finally coming together as far as the prison storyline for "Suits" season 6 is concerned.

At least, even if Mike's fate is still undetermined, William Sutter (Alan Rosenberg) got the judgment he deserved. Too bad Sutter didn't think twice about throwing his daughter in prison, too. It was his crimes he was paying for, with his daughter an unwitting accessory, but he did what he had to do without remorse.

This Wednesday's episode titled "The Hand That Feeds You" will see Mike and Harvey convincing Sutter's daughter Jill (Amanda Lisman) to testify against her father. It was through Mike's maneuvering that he got Jill to come forward, so there's a big chance he might get out of prison soon, owing to his and Harvey's deal with Sean Cahill (Neal McDonough).

"To protect Mike, Harvey contemplates returning Gallo (Paul Schulze) to the streets; Jessica (Gina Torres) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) have Bailey's (Glenn Plummer) case re-opened; and Louis (Rick Hoffman) faces his anxiety about Tara (Carly Pope)," reads the synopsis from USA Network.

However, will Mike get out of prison that easily? Check out the promo trailer below:

It looks like Mike will need to do one last thing for Harvey and Sean before he gets his elusive freedom, something that might involve getting someone killed.

"Suits" season 6 titled "The Hand That Feeds You" airs on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 9 p.m. on USA Network.
