'Street Fighter 5' patch, news & update: deletion tool for Capcom.sys file, launched

Capcom recently released the latest update for "Street Fighter." The patch wasn't well-received by players because it presented a harmful file to its users. The developers, however, launched a tool to help solve the problem.
Reports said the Capcom.sys file posed a security threat to PC gamers. Players immediately turned to forums and social media to express their problems about the latest update. The video game developers were quick to respond and present a solution. Capcom suggested that players only download the recent update from Capcom, through Steam.
Capcom recently announced that it released a tool to delete the 'Campcom.sys' file that came along with update Ver. 1.09 for the PC.
Users who are affected by the said issue are those who downloaded the Ver. 1.09 update on Sept. 22 and have not installed the additional patch which was released a day after. Users who have not restarted their computers after installing the new patch may still have the same issue.
Capcom advised gamers to restart their PC before running the deletion tool. To use the tool, the developer instructed players to close the "Street Fighter V" application.
The Steam client, on the other hand, has to be opened to let the game update commence. Once it is complete, two batch files, DeleteSFVdriver_ja.bat and DeleteSFVdriver_en.bat, will be added to the game's folder path: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonStreetFighterVTools
Gamers should click right on the DeleteSFVdriver_en.bat file, and run the program as administrator. The other file is the same tool, but in Japanese.
The tool will have application prompts that are easy to follow. Once done, the program will instruct gamers to restart their PC. After restarting, gamers should click right on the tool once again and run it as an administrator.
If the message "Capcom.sys or related registry doesn't exist. End the program." appears, the files have been successfully removed from the system.
